É uma pena que a iniciativa de responsabilidade corporativa na Suíça tem falhado pois não teve a maioria dos cantões, embora a maioria das pessoas têm votado a favor da iniciativa. Se olharmos para a França, então uma lei vinculativa da cadeia de abastecimento já é realidade. Até a União Europeia anunciou a publicação de um projeto de lei para 2021.

It is a pity that the corporate responisbility initiative in Switzerland has lacked the majority of cantons although a majority of people voted in favour of the initiative. If we look for France then a binding supply chain law is already reality. Even the European Union has announced to publish a draft law for 2021.

Leaders should ideally be free of corporate influence, especially from the fossil fuels. The petition embraces the nominees for key positions like the Secretaries of Agriculture, Interior, and Energy, as well as who will lead the EPA under Biden.

A UE quer queimar nossas florestas para obter energia. Isso é uma loucura. Já não há madeira extraível de maneira sustentável para móveis e construção, razão pela qual o plástico é usado com mais frequência. A madeira a ser queimada viria então, pelo menos indiretamente, do corte raso de florestas primárias do exterior. As selvas boreais também conhecem outros inimigos, como papel higiênico, que é feito de papel não reciclado. A perda, especialmente de mata virgem, é um grande problema para a proteção do clima e não sua solução! Parem derrubar as árvores gigantes de mata virgem do Canadá!
