Das Projekt zeigt einmal mehr wie extrem rücksichtslos der neoliberale Musterschüler Indien in Sachen Wirtschaftspolitik vorgeht. Mit einem solchen Projekt ist die Einhaltung des 1,5° Zieles weltweit wohl nicht möglich, was bedeutet das alle Korallenriffe, wie es sie schon seit Jahrmillionen gibt, absterben würden. Aufgrund anhaltender Proteste hat sich ein privater Geldgeber nach dem anderen zurückgezogen, doch jetzt will der indische Staat für seinen Adani Konzern einspringen. Indien hat nicht das Recht auf andere zu zeigen, wenn man sich nur anschaut wie rücksichtslos Indien mit neokolonialem Gehabe gegen die indigene Bevölkerung auf den Andamanen vorgeht. Der eigenen indigene Bevölkerung ergeht es nicht besser; sie wird zur Einrichtung von Reservaten gewaltsam enteignet und vertrieben.
