The new version is fully implemented in C++/Qt and runs under Linux as well as Windows. It can simulate non-deterministic Turing machines, multi character edges and edges with character sets for finite automata and supports parameterized machine schemata with power/superscript expression to repeat an automaton a certain number of times.

Some improvements to xchroot have been realised: a better working --quiet switch, making use of chroot --userspec to avoid su and sudo inside the chroot and a --genuine-retval switch to directly return the return code of chroot / the program inside the chroot.

A tool to normalize database schemata. bugfix: a forgotten reverse in the code of v1.0.5 made the results of BCNF-splitting anti-optimal; update to keysTreeAlgo avoids generating duplicate nodes which need to be sorted out later; better documentation of keysTreeAlg and mincoverage; C-FSL v1.1 (+corrected spelling error).

Version v1.7.7 of confinedrv has been released. It does now not only support to blend in a partition image but also the Master Boot Record from a file in place of an existing partition (or in place of the spare space before the first partition respectively). confinedrv has also received some other updates and bug fixes. It now makes use of lockfile-create/remove from lockfile-progs and thereby is no more dependent on the meanwhiles rarely shipped lockfile utility.
